Importance of Programming in Information Technology

Our world is changing rapidly. Technology is the propelling power that brings about this wonderful changes in our lives. The flight from ine point to another in record time; the readily available tools and gadget all these and more spell changes.

“To say that a good programmer can write good software in any language is like saying that a good pilot can fly any aircraft: true, but irrelevant”, said A.H Khan.

Information technology is the use of computers and software to manage information. In some of the large companies, information technology department is the one responsible or liable for storing informations, protecting informations, processing the informations, transmitting the information as necessary, and later retrieving informations as necessary. That’s why, information technology is very important or relevant not just in the fields of industry but for a lot.One area of information technology is software development. Computer software by definition is a generic term for organized collections of computer data and instructions, often broken into two major categories: system software that provides the basic non-task-specific functions of the computer, and application software which is used by users to accomplish specific tasks and it really helps many businesses be productive. Computer programmers  design and write code to customize existing software applications and custom products, among other things or sequences of instructions to be executed by a computer.Computer programming is what makes a computer more than just a simple pocket calculator. It is  everything that you can do today on a computer someone had to be programmed at one point.

The main task of programmers is to write codes to make a some sort of softwares. They write the instructions that command or instructs the computer what to do. Once a computer is given it’s “program” that is, once it is asked a carefully worked out set of devised or prepared by a programmer trained in computer languages, a computer that was being programmed can be used for many purposes or contemplate plans.

Programs apprise the computers what to do simple or even complex tasks, just like in business and industry, a program can prepare company payroll calculations, factory inventories, mail dividend checks, business processing, banking applications, and to keep track of sales trends and production needs. Also it can perform word-processing, operating systems, computer games, and many more assignments.

Since information technology is considered as one of the most in demand courses nowadays, having knowledge or comprehension in computer programming helps a lot to students like us who are dreaming or aiming to have good or worthy jobs in the future. With computer programming subject, we are about to learn to write or construct codes and make softwares for systems needed in a particular thing. In our modern society, relying on information technologies, computer programming educations are extremely important. Information technology  workers, experts or professionals can be found in many types of organizations. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, "In the modern workplace, it is imperative that Information Technology  works both effectively and reliably."

To be Information technology professionals is our dream. And to be totally professionals, who are working in this profession we must be proficient and able to work in teams and work under the pressure to meet deadlines and budgeting constraints or obligations. Companies or corporations will depend on computer programmers that is going to be us in the near future to develop software solutions to critical business problems or enigma. Since computer programmers are basically information technology professionals who create such programs that run on various platforms including operating systems, the internet, handheld gadgets, computer-aided devices, or a combination or mixture of computer equipments or apparatus. Information technology is a very important job function that services just about every avenue of modern or advance business and industry. I believe that the computer programming languages are one of the most important, not one of the least important factors, that influence the ultimate or supreme quality of a software system, and also very critical for later development of an information technology professionals.

But computer programs are not just a tool for information technology students like us; it furnishes the raw material of softwares, the things that we look at on our screens everytime and most of the day.

It does because in information technology company (after your graduation) then the thing which matters is: “How can you save the efforts of other people (customers) so that they will reward you”. If you have that good ranking then clearly your door is open for those companies. The will recruit you with high salary.”

With this article, I really therefore conclude that computer programming is really very important especially in my choosen course, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Because with this, I may achieve what I dreamed of.
